Very rich specimen of black uraninite in hematite-stained gneiss matrix from the Aubrey – Ladwig Mine, Ralston Buttes Mining District, Jefferson County, Colorado, USA. Good specimen for this very uncommon and obscure Colorado front range locality. Measures ~80,000 CPM on my Ludlum Model 3 Counter with the 44-9 probe. Rare!
