“Betafite” (Uranopyrochlore)

Superb large cluster of well-formed octahedral “betafite” (uranopyrochlore) crystals from the classic Silver Crater Mine, Faraday Township, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada. Very good for this species at the locality. Measures ~50,000 CPM on my Ludlum Model 3 Counter with the 44-9 probe. Rare!
