Very nice thumbnail-size specimen of crudely-crystallized Uraninite from the famous Chestnut Flats Mine near Spruce Pine, Mitchell County, North Carolina, USA. Measures ~40,000 CPM on my Ludlum Model 3 Counter with the 44-9 probe. Rare!!
